Leadership Essentials

Tej Kohli noticed that leadership makes a team success means a good caption makes team victory sure. On the other hand while Tej Kohli said an organization and business is concerns one should have leader ship quality which enable him to take decision while company facing problems. 
Whenever anybody want to be make career than he had to improved his Leadership skills to make his career and life smoothly running and achieved their targets within timeframe. According to philosophy “Leaders grow, they are not made” but its not be true ever time. Sometimes man became be great leader only when someone guide how to become leader and rule.
Now the Leadership areas became wider than before and now having multiple meaning associated with. While we are discussing leadership in various profession we noticed different ways . Whenever organization behaviors or even targets are changed, development and company progress are considered parallel and need careful management who checks company requirement on regular basis without being puzzled .
         A company can be strong if its having many leader across all the zone to make work smooth and fast and its not be ok just leader on the top level , besides company needs leader all the way to smooth run of its work .Now the business world are changing day to day and its requires leaders to establish new business and grow the feather . Now the business needs both good managers as well as good leaders . But now in the current scenario where the market changes day by day organization needs more leaders in spite of managers .
While the business run by those who have no leadership , organization always suffer and losses its dominancy on its even if its having multiple resources and fund in back . Some major reason comes within last couple of year which effect negatively on the business are Conformity and status quo. On the other hand a good leader always having many qualities to check out business performance such as self-study , training, education and experience on regular basis.  
While we are taking leadership in the business main portfolio we have to keep in mind what Ray Croc quoted “The quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves”. An effective leadership comesu0p with communities, groups and organization which is aimed to built trust and makes everybody how to corporate with other and work effectively to sort out every problems.  
While we are looking around many leaders name come into our mind which having global representation like Bill Gates who is called father of software , Indian business tycoon TATA group chairman Ratan Tata , who hs many world famous business empire to run , Indian Market leader having stable point in many field is Reliance Group industries founder “Dhreeu Bhai Ambani “ who had made big empire by his leadership .
Some special attribute of leadership are, making person to something different like a challenge. Leaders not only analyses or even supervise but also give suggestion and   leads the team if it’s needed.
On the other hand every organization has to make the environment friendlier and development prone. If any organization are following to traditional rules then there is to changed now. 
Some other attributes a leader must have basically these are essential and without that no one leader can achieve whatever are literacy, mentally and physically strong. A good one leader never shows its superiority over other but treat everybody just like friends. It has been over twenty years that the groundbreaking book ‘In Search of Excellence’ pointed out the virtues of "Management by Walking Around." Mayor Giuliani certainly demonstrated the wisdom of that practice. While we derive means from its , then here presence means more attention in comparison to just   physical presence . Person should have to attentive and focused on rightwards moment and expect what be happening in future . Leader have to give full attention towards his people and also have to recognize what they need and give motivation while they needed  

While deriving a good one Leader some qualities must be checking out first:

01. Minimize status differences and insist on courtesy and mutual respect.

02. Master conflict. Deal with anger in small doses and engage dissidents.

03. Have the courage to take big risks, and more.

04. Foster a spirit of tenacious creativity. Never give up—there’s always another move.
05. Being there.
06. Always remember, Communication is the key.
07. Take care of yourself: Maintain your stamina and let go of guilt.
08. Reinforce the team message constantly.
09. Find something to celebrate and something to laugh about.
10. Instilling optimism while staying grounded to reality.
11. Tell the hard truths.


Moreover leadership is an art which make miracle in the world, even while we are looking around us there are many leaders who gave their contribution to make milestone in different platform like business, education, sports and technology. Sports are good one example of leadership. Even a single player having many specialty but leader makes their calibrated efforts to win match or even trophy.
   HR has to check out leadership attribute in everybody, but it might be possible that who are new one employee might have to take care whole organization in future .

But while organization perspective is concerns widely some changes occurring as the business environment. But understating business need according to environment is necessary. We can classify between different era just like land in agrarian era , wealth creation in knowledge era is human capital .Some organization having strong workforce who change their work environment , technology and production according to needs. Now a day many organization having skilled and highly organized workforce which scheduled according to demands. Many companies adopting new and emphasized on innovation, speed, cross-functionality, and strong customer relations. Now the business environment is very volatile and competitive where technology and workforce are key feature. HR has to keep business perspective revision and evaluate to a leadership role and business partner.  HR not only objective and targets for your own but also for organization and work hard to met that. Capability gap can be defined as difference between current system conditions to meet the operational requirement .Sometimes lack knowledge, skills, abilities and technology can be hazardous even company have big domain structure .HR having responsibility to make balance between operational requirement and  working aspects that means HR have to make sure to wipe out capability gap.

Sometimes Outsourcing process may be beneficial such that 

1) It decreased cost and improves work efficiency 

2) Optimize and full use of workforce.

3) Making HR work structure smooth.

4) Making some diversion HR services

5) HR work efficiency also be improved

In brief HR have to make work runs smithy in work environment and making an organization to have experts according to their needs. Behavior at Work

Tej Kohli while speaking about company growth he also stated that a healthy company depends upon broad minded person. Tej kohli throwing light over how person have to behave in work environment.

Organization behavior is most important issue while we are planning organization or even distributing work according to skills. While person being interviewed HR personal have to check person behavior and also test whether or not he or organization adopt each other . Its not be issue for new joining or even company trainee of junior employees   but be global issue . Such that while we are studying in school our teacher first teach how to take community lunch and how to study together. Such that  company also be a school and everyone have to behave like that no one hurt by talks or even physically . Some times higher post person in an organization found to involve some unsocial activities and usually abused their junior either they are wrong or even they are right . Sometimes junior never say anything because of seniority or even in the fear of Job loss or even thay are shy and most probably they find alone. But sometimes situation get worse and junior can also get back with some abusive talks or even fights. Studies says , 30% reason behind leaving a job of an employee was ‘Senior behavior was  not good’.

HR considers company individual performance and company business growth while doing appraisal as well as person behavior. Person has to make company discipline in work environment and personal talks .Sometimes person have to good work while performance is concerns but not having good behavior such people often not getting enough support not only senior but also junior try to ignore him.

Excellent Manager 10 Qualities

Tej Kohli have an excellent experience to check out person eligibility for particular responsibility but Tej Kohli also revels that it like very impractical to know about everything for a person in  an short interview , the person work power and efficiency came into light when person took his responsibility as challenge .

While discussing a manager quality, it be universal truth, besides real quality be came out while person facing problem, but a little but sure not complete or even say what be require on the first sight to decide that the person is suitable for the managerial post

1. Imagination

The person must have creative mind to make new projects and handling existing current liabilities. The person must be innovative in the creation and lets make new plan for facing upcoming challenge. Company and subordinate require some new changes for smooth working. Creativity is not be a method or not be course but it require person own skillet even in uneven work environment. 

2. Configuration

Manager has to know very well about set of parameter, boundaries, imitation and guidelines . Manager have to frame itself under the organization structure and that not be changed due to any cause or reason. Moreover after knowing working parameter he has to guide other people to make work comfortably.
3. Perception
Its relate person own knowledge prior without any involvement means capacity of knowing without the use of rational process, in brief some intelligence by nature. Many person having ability to know what be front people intension and mood. Intuition get involve supervision and predetermination is necessary.

 

4. Acquaintance

Person must be having essential knowledge about some other things which can help him to make work more comfortably. Base knowledge can help him many ways. Knowledge must be ingrained and integrated that having some transparency for employee benefits like what he learns and how much knowledge be gain by work. A good manager having some knowledgebase to take right decisions .

 

5. Dedication

Manager must be committed for success to take all together .Manager have quite vision for team sprit , because no team cannot work  effectively if the team member if the team member are not unite. Also making the employee to move forward while new project be launched.

6. Being Human
That be most important point , that first every person should be human , means also having sense to preserve dignity of others and never try to misbehaving or even misguide else because of he is senior and having authority to do everything . Person whom be  a good relation with senior as   well as junior , which makes him favorable for everyone.



7. Resourcefulness

Manager should have flexible and versatile by nature .Manager not have to stick to one policy and having specialty to change process while needed in project .Moreover every manager have to design new projects with some flexibility and Versatility
8. Precision
Manager must be cheerful and joyful that makes other person to work with him happily. Study shows that lightness during working hours results in quality product and having stress in work turns to inefficiency in work .Manager  have arrange some fun stuffs for employee such that they work together and move forward .



9. Obedience

Ability to choose right one way and follow rules to move upwards and live with in. Its must be nice that we have to choose disciplined life and make other person to live happily for choosing that , but we don’t enforce anybody to choose that way , means discipline means first be self discipline and them make other person to move forward in  a disciplinary way . 

10. Implementation  

Some manager makes very big plan but while they are going to implement results would be nothing , on the other hand few manager never think about big planes and they called higly satisfied with current progress but everyone have to move into right way that’s why “A good manager having specialty to think big plan with cleverness how to implement and right way to implement .

HR Policies : ADA

Tej Kohli always in favor healthy and friendly environment either for study or even in working organization. According to Tej Kohli ADA is right move but its has some limitation while company benefit and discipline is concerns .


Its came into force into 1990 by federal law which passed by American congress which states that “Under the ADA of American Disability Act no employees cannot discriminate any employee  due to physical or mental illness also Disable person having same rights which a normal employee enjoyed so far also employer have sure tom provide transportation facility to disability person.”

But now in the challenging environment HR have to little bit difficult task to manage . But according to ADA no employer can terminate a employee due to his disability. but  HR have a right to discharge if employee having rude and insulting behavior. According to Law employer have to make sure to provide accommodation within 15 days to disable employee which contains assistive devices or other in their work place which can comforts disable employee to do work.    A decision by the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, in Kiel v. Select Artificials, Inc., No. 97-2433 (3/4/99), shows that an employer may discipline and even terminate a disabled employee as long as the discipline is not related to the disability.  Lets some example which clear vision

Case 1 :Employer Was wrong

A lady working in an organization as an billing clerk and he had been demanding TDD (Telecommunication devices) for business and personal calls but owner denied and told she had no need to client call , problem arise when owner of the company want to use photocopier and employee need TDD , but again owner refuse and abused some employee . The matter got fire and there was much heat exchange between owner and employee , which cause termination of employee. Employee filed ADA claim  alleging discriminatory discharge, retaliatory discharge, and failure to accommodate. The lower court favor employee , then owner moved to upper jury which also ruled that employee was right . At last the decision was in favor of employee and owner have give reassign her designation with required facility.

Case 2: Employers Can Discipline Disabled Employees

Court had directed that owner cannot discriminate because of disability also give power to take disciplinary action if the employee behavior is not good. Between this decision court can abolish employee disciplinary action under some circumstances also mention owner have a right to provide accommodation after employee performance.

In brief HR personas are not abide but there should be some provision that facilitate disable employee to work fast and comfortable if they need some extra equipment under work premises. HR having responsibility to provide healthy and friendly environment and ruled out any discrimination due to disability , caste , creed or even gender basis.
